Happy Mother's Day

The 2nd Sunday of May is always Mother's Day
and I'm wishing mama, mommy, mother, mom, nana, mamang, inay, inang, nanay, ma, mudra, momski, mum and many more terms of endearment, a happy and memorable one.  This is the day of honoring, celebrating, expressing, and acknowledging the numerous sacrifices, challenges, victories and achievements of the woman with many names, all of them endearing,  Let us smother them with our love, respect, care and affection, today and everyday.  The ways and means of celebrating this day is all up to you.

There will be heaps who will go the traditional way of giving flowers, a greeting card, and chocolates.  There will be those who will go out to mom's favorite restaurant, while those who opt to stay at home, will perhaps cook mom's most favorite meal. Some will see to it that mom takes the day off, free from all the household chores she has been doing forever.  Others will take mom on a trip and pamper her with all the worldly things that she so rightfully deserves.

I'm not a mom but I'm definitely sure that the most important thing for her today is to be with loved ones, her children, her family.  And if, like me, your mom, lives in another part of the planet, a call from you and your voice will be more than enough for her to feel like a queen on this day.  Thank you for reading, and yes, do go ahead, ring her now!
